1328. Bruce Rosenbaum
Bruce Rosenbaum is an artist, renovator, exhibitor, designer and curator in the steampunk community.
His work is most popularly and immediately recognized in The Steampunk House, his and his wife Melanie's retro-future refurbished home, which has been featured on local news and cable channels, MTV Cribs, and Home Strange Home. The Steampunk House has been profiled in Victorian Homes Magazine, Green Builder Magazine, Retro Magazine, and Gear Technology Magazine.
Bruce's design talents have been called on in several large commercial and hospitality oriented projects throughout Massachusetts, including The Nantucket Hotel and Resort in Nantucket, Massachusetts, USA. He and his design team conjured the Jules Verne Room, a steampunk home theater experience at Audio Concepts. Bruce also "steampunks" both spaces and objects for clients and events such as The International Steampunk City (Waltham, Massachusetts), Craftboston 2012, and Antique City (Pennsylvania). His work has also appeared on NY INK and Oddities, and StyleBoston, among others.
Bruce exhibited at and co-curated Steampunkinetics - one of the first kinetic steampunk art exhibitions in the United States (AFA gallery, New York City, New York). His artwork has been on exhibition consistently throughout the Northeastern USA for over 4 years, including:
* Charles River Museum of Industry
* Wooster Street Social Club
* The Mark Twain House
* Shelburne Museum
Bruce has collaborated and co-exhibited with many well-known and emerging steampunk artists and created the unofficial steampunk artists guild, Steampuffin.
He as also been featured in the Boston Phoenix, The Chicago Tribune, The Villager(New York), The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Christian Science Monitor. Bruce has been interviewed several times for WBUR, Boston's NPR affiliate, been part of the Steampunk series on CNN.com, and in a review of Steampunkinetics on Huffington Post.
